Assumptions & honesty
- Slab comps come from active asks, not sold prices. The scanner takes the median of the lowest live eBay asks and haircuts it 10%. Sold-comp APIs require separate eBay approval; treat comp numbers as optimistic ceilings.
- The AI grade read is a screen, not a grader. It sees only the seller's photos — which systematically hide defects — and is calibrated to be pessimistic when photo quality is limited. Never buy on the model's read alone.
- PSA 8-and-under prices fall back to the raw price when no low-grade comps exist.
- Turnaround risk isn't modeled. 45–90 days of price movement, shipping damage, and the tax stack on exit are all on you.
- This is a statistics toy, not financial advice. Most raw cards are not worth grading — that's the point of screening.
