Most One Piece boosters lose money the moment you open them. That's not cynicism, it's arithmetic: sealed prices carry collector and hype premiums, while the cards inside are mostly Rares and Super Rares worth pocket change, with the real value squeezed into Secret Rares at about 1 in 20 packs and Treasure Rares at about 1 in 100, per community estimates. This page ranks every One Piece set we track by rip margin — expected value measured against real sealed prices, refreshed every two hours from TCGPlayer.
The pattern worth knowing: fresh sets rip best, because ample supply keeps sealed near MSRP while singles demand is at its peak. Early sets — Romance Dawn, Paramount War, Awakening of the New Era — now trade as collectibles, and opening them means torching the premium you paid for the privilege. FAQ
How is One Piece pack EV calculated on this site?
We model each set's pack structure slot by slot, using community-estimated odds per rarity, then multiply every card's chance of appearing by its live TCGPlayer market price and sum across the pack. Box EV is pack EV times 24.
Why do the margins assume a roughly 15% haircut?
Because you can't sell pulls at sticker price. Marketplace fees, payment processing and shipping eat about 15% of a typical sale, so our margins compare sealed cost against fee-adjusted cash EV, not raw list prices.
How often is the price data refreshed?
Every two hours. Each set page's EV, margins and price tables are rebuilt from the latest TCGPlayer snapshot, so the numbers you see reflect the current market rather than launch-week hype.
Are One Piece Card Game pull rates official?
No. Bandai doesn't publish pull rates for any set. Every rate on this site is a community estimate compiled from documented box openings, and rates can vary slightly between print runs and regions.
If a set shows positive EV, is ripping it guaranteed profit?
No. EV is a long-run average, and in One Piece most of it sits in Secret and Treasure Rares that appear in a small minority of packs. A single box can land far below average, and fees, grading and time-to-sell all erode the paper number.
