Digimon Card Game Pack EV & Pull Rates — All Sets Ranked

The Digimon Card Game keeps its booster structure simple: 12-card packs, 24-pack boxes, one guaranteed rare and one hit slot in every pack. Community estimates — Bandai publishes no official rates — put a Super Rare in that hit slot about 70% of the time, a Secret Rare roughly once in five packs, and an alternate-art Special once in ten. This page ranks every Digimon set we track by rip margin: expected value per product against its current sealed price, recomputed from TCGPlayer market data every two hours with a roughly 15% fee haircut already applied.

Digimon sealed is cheap by TCG standards, and at recent prices an unusual share of its boxes have returned more than they cost — but the value is heavily concentrated in Secret Rares and alt arts, so single-box variance is severe and the average is not your box. Use the rankings to find the sets worth a closer look, then open each set page for per-product EV, slot odds, and the chase cards doing the actual work.

FAQ

How does Worth the Rip calculate Digimon pack EV?

We model each pack's slots — a guaranteed rare plus a hit slot — and weight every rarity's chance by the current TCGPlayer market prices of that set's cards in that rarity. Summing the slots gives EV per pack; multiplying by pack count gives box EV, which the tables compare against live sealed prices.

Do the EV numbers include selling fees?

Yes. Card values take a haircut of roughly 15% to account for marketplace fees and shipping, so EV approximates what you'd actually net selling the cards rather than their sticker prices.

How often does the price data refresh?

Every two hours, from TCGPlayer market data. EV and margin figures on every set page recompute on that cadence, so the numbers you see reflect the current market, not a stale snapshot.

Are Digimon Card Game pull rates official?

No. Bandai doesn't publish pull rates, so the odds on these pages are community estimates aggregated from box-opening data. They're good approximations for EV math, but individual boxes vary.

Does positive EV mean I'll profit from ripping a box?

No. EV is a long-run average; a single box's result is dominated by whether you hit the top-end Secret Rares and alt arts. Fees, time-to-sell, and price drift eat thin edges. Positive EV means better-than-usual odds, not a guarantee.
