How is Weiss Schwarz pack EV calculated?

We model each pack's slots — for Weiss Schwarz, a rare slot and a hit slot with estimated rarity odds — and multiply each rarity's chance by the current average TCGPlayer market price of the set's cards at that rarity. Summing the slots gives expected value per pack; box EV is pack EV times sixteen.

Why do you apply a fee haircut to card values?

Because you can't sell a pull for its sticker price. We shave roughly 15% off raw card value to account for marketplace fees and shipping, so the EV shown reflects realistic cash-out value rather than a number you'd never actually collect.
