Fabled Booster EV — Does the Reprint Set Pay Off?

Right now: the best rip in Fabled is the Booster Pack at $27.91 against $9.81 of expected pulls — a −70% margin after ~15% selling fees. Figures refresh every two hours.

Fabled is the exception set in Lorcana — a reprint-heavy special release from August 29, 2025 that packed many of the game's most-wanted Enchanted reprints into one card pool, then shipped in quantities that made it nearly impossible to buy at retail. The result: it has the highest per-pack EV of any Lorcana set we track and, at prevailing sealed prices, some of the worst expected margins on the entire site.

The pack structure is unchanged — 12 cards, one rare-or-better, one foil, with community estimates putting Enchanteds at roughly 1 in 50 packs. What changed is the price of a ticket. Because allocation was tight, sealed Fabled trades at several times the price of a normal Lorcana set, so every extra dollar of card value inside the pack is swamped by several extra dollars of cost outside it. Boxes and Illumineer's Troves fare even worse than loose packs in our tracking.

If you love the cards, buy the cards. Fabled singles are plentiful; Fabled packs are a collector's product priced like one. The live numbers below show exactly how large the gap is today.

FAQ

Why is Fabled sealed so much more expensive than other Lorcana sets?

It was a heavily allocated special set with a reprint-focused card pool, and supply never met demand — sealed trades at several times the price of a standard Lorcana set.

What makes Fabled's card pool different?

It's reprint-heavy, concentrating many chase Enchanted reprints in one set rather than introducing a mostly new card list.

Do Fabled packs have better pull rates?

No. Community estimates show the same slot odds as regular Lorcana sets: about 2% Enchanted and 8% Legendary in the guaranteed slot. The cards are better; the odds aren't.
